Baías e Enseadas is a small, ambitious wine project in the Lisbon region, located in the Colares area. Small in size and big in the message it sends about the quality and potential of the region.
Daniel Afonso - a genuine and passionate person - is a true garagista, with vats, barrels and a vertical press juxtaposed in a tiny space in Mercês (in Sintra), and an old car at the door to go to the vineyards scattered around the Colares area. His down-to-earth character is reflected in the genuineness of his wines, which, born in a humble environment, find glamour in their destination, served in starred restaurants in the Algarve and New York.

Initially discreet, with hints of aromatic herbs and fruit.
On the palate, the fruit is more present, with light buttery, savoury and spicy notes in harmony.
The vertical acidity linger at the end of the mouth, accentuating the minerality.
